Recreational fishing

The estate features several ponds where you can fish recreationally (no-kill) in spring and summer. Fishing posts have been established around the ponds, which are easily accessible by car or bike. In the water, you will find, among others, European carp, Asian carp, black bass, pike, zander, tench, and other species. The fishing posts are rented out on a 24-hour basis and are available by reservation.

Hooi Les Cicardières is een actief landbouwbedrijf, gespecialiseerd in de productie van hooi. Jaarlijks maaien we meer dan 400 hectare grasland om kwalitatief veevoer te produceren voor paarden, koeien, schapen en geiten. Op vraag van onze klanten zaaien we ook graslanden in met specifieke mengsels, zodat we hooi kunnen leveren dat volledig is afgestemd op hun noden.

Hay

Les Cicardières is an active agricultural business, specialising in hay production. Each year, we mow more than 400 hectares of grassland to produce quality feed for horses, cows, sheep, and goats. Customers can also request for us to sow our grasslands with specific mixtures - allowing us to provide hay that is fully tailored to their needs.

Hout Bosbouw Les Cicardières beschikt over ongeveer 500 hectare bos. Deze bossen zijn bijzonder gevarieerd en bestaan onder andere uit dennenbossen, natuurlijke eikenbossen en aanplantingen van Amerikaanse eik. Ze worden zorgvuldig beheerd volgens een meerjarenplan (PSG) en dragen het FSC-label. Elk jaar vinden zowel grotere als kleinere kappen plaats, met als doel de waarde en biodiversiteit van het bos te versterken. Het hout wordt vervolgens per opbod op voet verkocht om het optimaal te valoriseren. Brandhout Bij het onderhoud van de prairies en boswegen op het domein worden regelmatig omgevallen bomen aangetroffen. Deze worden in de winter verwerkt tot brandhout, deels voor eigen gebruik en deels voor verkoop. Het hout wordt zorgvuldig getrieerd, gekliefd en gedroogd, en is verkrijgbaar per m³ in bulk of per pallet.

Wood


Forestry

Les Cicardières has approximately 500 hectares of forest. These forests are particularly diverse and consist of, among others, pine forests, natural oak forests, and plantings of American oak. They are carefully managed according to a multi-year plan (PSG) and carry the FSC label. Each year, both larger and smaller cuts take place, aimed at enhancing the value and biodiversity of the forest. The wood is then sold by auction to optimise its value.

Firewood

During the maintenance of the prairies and forest paths on the estate, fallen trees are regularly found. These are processed into firewood in winter, partly for personal use and partly for sale. The wood is carefully sorted, split, and dried, and is available per m³ in bulk or per pallet.
